MAY 11: Welding Workshop (2-4:30pm)

from 80.00

When: Saturday, May 11 (2-4:30pm)

Choose between 3 variations for this one-on-one workshop of your choice:

  • Make 4 coffee table bobby pin legs (`18 inch height)

  • Make 4 side table bobby pin legs (~25 inch height)

  • Make 1 plant hanger (~22 inches wide/tall) *bring in pot to help measure

In this workshop, you will discover the basics of TIG welding and how to use a roller, bender, and saw for cutting metal. TIG welding involves the use of Argon gas and a tungsten tip. The base metal that is to be welded is heated while manually feeding in the filler metal. This is a precise way of welding steel together to create wonderful (and functional!) things!

We have all the gear: hood, jackets, & gloves

All steel is included

No experience necessary! This is a fun way to learn welding and at the end you get something wonderful you made!

*Keep hair tied back and wear closed toe shoes.

**If you want to make a plant hanger, take a measurement of the outside diameter of the pot that you want to place in the hanger (or bring it in!). This measurement is usually best taken under the lip of the pot usually about 3/4 of the way up.

For the table leg option, it is not necessary to have or to bring in the table top in order to make the legs. However, for a nice slab of wood, we highly recommend Tontin Lumber located at 565 Godfrey right here in West Michigan for all your local wood needs!!
